All employment positions are on a part-time basis (Fridays-Sundays) during the racing season (March-November).

If the position you're interested in is currently full, we encourage you to submit your application regardless.  This will allow us to contact you to schedule an interview as soon as there is an opening available.

Announcer

  • Announcers broadcast results, news, and information to the spectators and racers over the PA system throughout the event

  • Salary based on experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Racing knowledge & broadcasting experience is required

Concession Sales

  • Concession workers prepare and serve food and beverages at MIR. It's a great job for young adults trying to get into the workplace

  • $6.50 per hour

  • Must be at least 15 years old

  • No experience required

EMT / Firefighter

  • The EMT/Firefighter staff if what keeps MIR a safe place to race by responding to any incidents on track property

  • $8.00 per hour

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must have EMT-B certification

  • Must have firefighting experience

Ticket Seller

  • Ticket sellers work the gates and box office to greet fans and sell admission tickets and racer credentials for the event

  • $8.00 per hour

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Cashier experience is preferred, but not required

Security

  • Security guards assist in handling traffic, answer questions from racers and fans, monitor family sections, and patrol the facility

  • $8.00 per hour

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Security or bouncer experience is preferred, but not required

Souvenir Attendant

  • Souvenir attendants sell T-shirts, hats, souvenirs and fuel

  • $6.15 per hour

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Cashier experience preferred, but not required

Staff Writer

  • Staff writers are an important part of MIR; responsible for writing event stories to be published in newspapers, magazines and online media

  • Salary depends on experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must have journalism experience and a passion for drag racing

Tower Personnel

  • Tower personnel are responsible for participant data entry, preparing and posting race forms, and distributing the cash purses to race winners

  • $7.00 per hour

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must have computer experience

Track Official

  • Track official duties range from cleaning up oil downs, tech inspecting cars, running the staging lanes and working the starting line
