The most successful and prestigious
E.T. series in the region, the
Computech Raider E.T. Challenge,
returns in 2008 with plenty of cash,
prizes and awards! A prized gold
championship ring (crafted by
Terryberry) awaits each points
victor in Top ET, Mod ET and Junior
Dragster in this 8-race, all 1/8
mile series between Maryland Int’l
Raceway and Virginia Motorsports
Park. This striking gold ring
features a blue sapphire gemstone
surrounded by the Raider E.T.
Challenge series name, and cast in
gold on the sides of the ring are
“MIR” & “VMP”, along with the year
and the last name of the class
champion. These custom made rings
truly are a treasured keepsake that
will be cherished for a lifetime.
Both MIR and VMP are proud to offer
this exciting 1/8 mile series,
committing an additional $5,000 once
again to the points fund to pay back
under the champions! The 8-races (2
Saturday & Sunday weekends at each
track) include a points program that
rewards each of the overall
champions in Top ET, Mod ET, and
Junior Dragster with a major
sponsorship for their bracket car in
2009. These sponsorships include
tires, fuel, oil, converters, gear
sets, weather stations - the list
just goes on and on! Additionally,
all three class champions receive
FREE car and driver entry for the
ENTIRE 8-RACE SERIES in 2009! If you
thought it couldn’t get any better
than that, how about a FREE reserved
parking spot to accommodate your
FREE entry – and what about a FREE
CORPORATE SUITE at each track for
one weekend? It’s all up for grabs;
and with absolutely no additional
cost to join - because your tech
card purchase automatically enters
you in the points series!
Please note that double entry is not
permitted. We will have first and
second round re-entry as well as a
Mulligan for all classes! This
series is open to all bracket racers
- no pre-registration is required.
All events are comfortably spaced
from one another on the season
schedule at both tracks.
Class and purse information for each
day of the Computech Raider ET
Challenge is as follows: Top E.T.
(electronics) $5,000 to win, Mod
E.T. (footbrake) $2,000 to win and
Junior Dragster $1,000 to win (paid
in U.S. Savings Bond). A very
attractive two-day entry fee is also
offered at each race.
If you race in Top E.T., Mod E.T. or
Junior Dragster, mark these dates on
your calendar right now to be sure
you don’t miss one of the best
bracket programs ever! The
full-color series brochure will soon
be available at www.mirdrag.com.
