The IHRA Summit
Pro-Am Tour rolls into Maryland
Int’l Raceway on Saturday & Sunday,
April 12-13, 2008, with a
double-header event full of
Ironmans, cash and the Saturday
night ET Clash! It’s two full days
of IHRA excitement for the sportsman
racer – with a separate set of
eliminations each day plus a special
Saturday night race for all the high
rollers out there.
In Junior Dragster, each day
guarantees a staggering cash payout
of $1,000 to win (not savings bonds)
plus an IHRA Ironman Trophy! There’s
$400 cash going to the runner-up,
$100 to semis and $50 to the
quarters. Consisting of one age
group only (the same as MIR’s weekly
ET program but without points in
effect), this class is treated just
like Top Dragster, Quick Rod or any
of the other IHRA classes. All
racers must be an IHRA member to
compete, and you can even purchase
your $40 membership at the event

membership terms and conditions).
Then on Saturday night, the event
morphs into a whole different
creature with cash up for grabs for
ALL ET CARS! No more worry to
pre-enter, because the $5,000 ET
Clash now welcomes ANY & ALL cars
running 12.99 or quicker… that’s it!
Whether you’re a Box or No-Box
racer, run in an IHRA class or not,
or even have an IHRA membership, you
can come and race in this $5,000
“Saturday Night Only” high-roller
shootout! So if you’re 12.99 and
quicker, all you have to do is just
show up Saturday with a $100 bill
and your determination to win! And
get this, the $5K ET Clash Winner
will even be presented with their
own Ironman Trophy from IHRA – how
cool is that!
IHRA class cars at the event are
welcome to participate. For those
racers coming just for the Saturday
night $5K ET Clash, you can come in
anytime; but be sure to arrive early
because the one and only time run
session starts at 6:00 pm. There’s
only going to be one run per car in
this session, followed by the start
of eliminations at 7:30 pm.

forget about the Friday test session
(April 11th) from 4:00 – 9:00 pm,
open to IHRA class cars for only
