Congratulations to
Jake Milstead (#1169) of La Plata,
MD for his victory in the "Pick
Royce's Pocket" Challenge held at
the Mountain Motor Nationals on
Saturday, May 3, 2008. His
one-shot challenge run hit the
number, running a 7.917 on a 7.91
dial - as the rules only require a
match to the hundredth, not the
thousandth. So he has
officially raced his way into free
Top ET car & driver entry at all
Speed Unlimited ET Series events
until August 16th!
Honorable mentions go
to the other three qualifiers for
their efforts, but unfortunately
weren't able to pick Royce's pocket
clean. In Modified ET,
Tony Mattera (#1X68) dialed a 10.42
but broke out putting a 10.403 on
the boards. In Junior
Dragster, Nick Chiles (#2105) dialed
a 7.90 but fell off with a 7.922.
Lastly, in Streetbike ET, Ben
Helland (#920) dialed a 9.28 but ran
too fast with a 9.268.
