The
IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour is coming
August 24-26 to Maryland Int’l
Raceway with a double-header event
full of Ironmans, cash and the
Saturday night 5K ET Clash! It’s two
full days of IHRA excitement for the
sportsman racer – with a separate
set of eliminations each day; plus a
special Saturday night race for the
high rollers. Also on Saturday night
will be the 34th annual Jet Wars,
featuring Bob Mot's Jet Kenworth,
Jet Dragsters and Jet Funny Cars
along with the Wild Bunch and
Fireworks.
In
Junior Dragster, each day guarantees
a huge CASH winner payout of $1,000
(that’s right, no savings bonds)
plus an IHRA Ironman Trophy! There’s
also $400 cash going to the
runner-up, $100 to semis and $50 to
the quarters. The class will consist
of one age group only (the same as
MIR’s weekly ET program however
points will not be in effect) and is
treated just like Top Dragster,
Quick Rod or any of the other IHRA
classes. All racers must be an IHRA
member to compete, and you can even
purchase your membership right at
the event (check out ihra.com for
current membership information and
pricing).
On
Saturday night, the event transforms
into a different creature with cash
for ALL ET CARS up for grabs! The
$5,000 to win ET Clash is open to
cars running 12.99 or quicker.
Whether you’re a Box or No-Box
racer, run in an IHRA class or not,
you can come and race in this $5,000
“Saturday Night Only” high-roller
shootout! Entry fee is just $100 and
you don’t even need to be an IHRA
member to run that night. IHRA class
cars at the event are also welcome
to participate. Racers that are only
coming for the Saturday night $5K ET
Clash can come in anytime; but
you'll want to arrive early because
the one and only time run session
starts at 6:00 pm (each car gets
only one run in the session). The
start of eliminations will follow at
7:30 pm.

forget about the Friday test session
(August 24) from 4 - 9 pm for only
$30 (open to IHRA class cars only
and participating Top ET bracket
