The
2012 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment
Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL
travels to Maryland International
Raceway August 24-26 for the final
Division 1 Patriots points meet of
the year. The event will feature a
double Pro-Am points claim, the
conclusion of the Summit Sportsman
Spectacular and a Jet Wars show
Saturday night. There will be a test
and tune on Friday, qualifying, race
one and Jet Wars on Saturday and
qualifying and race two on Sunday.

What to
expect: The Miller family
is once again greeting the Division
1, Patriots, racers of the Summit
Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour
presented by AMSOIL with another
round of facility improvements. The
long standing IHRA Member track,
known for its top notch facility and
welcoming staff, will close the
Patriots season August 24-26.
Saturday Night will feature the
completion of the ET class races and
the Top Dragster Final round left
over from a weather postponement
during the Summit Sportsman
Spectacular in July.
The
event will feature a double Pro-Am
points claim with a test and tune on
Friday, qualifying and race one of
the weekend on Saturday and a second
day of qualifying and racing on
Sunday. The double-race format will
be filled out with a night of
bracket racing on Saturday fulfilled
by the 5k ET Clash, then rounded out
with Jet Wars, a spectator show
including supercharged altereds, jet
exhibition vehicles and fireworks.
MIR is
a state-of-the-art facility and a
track known for its ability to
produce record times. Over the years
Maryland International Raceway has
become well known as the place to
race thanks to an elevation of only
80 feet and many current IHRA
national records still stand thanks
to the Budds Creek facility.
