Maryland International Raceway has
teamed-up with the Pax River DET
1305 U.S. Marine Corps League to
benefit “Toys for Tots” during the
27th Annual Snap-On Racing
Superchargers Showdown.
The mission of the U. S. Marine
Corps Toys for Tots Program is to
collect new, unwrapped toys each
year, and distribute those toys as
Christmas gifts to less fortunate
children in the community. The
primary goal of Toys for Tots is to
deliver, through a new toy at
Christmas, a message of hope to less
fortunate youngsters that will
assist them in becoming responsible,
productive, patriotic citizens.
To help this important cause, MIR
and the Pax River DET 1305 Marine
Corps League will collect toys at
our Superchargers Showdown event on
September 22, 2012. Anyone who
brings a new, unwrapped toy valued
at $15 or more will receive a raffle
ticket to win one of two MIR “View
to a Thrill” VIP Ticket Packages for
4! This valuable package includes
Admission, VIP Parking and Suite
Seating in the Tower for 4 people
during an event of the winner’s
choice at MIR in 2012 or 2013. In
addition, the winners will
experience the “View to a Thrill”
where they will actually stand on
the starting line with the starter
between high-horsepower machines
with the best view of drag racing
that few ever experience!
Two lucky individuals will be chosen
in a drawing during the 2nd round of
Pro Eliminations on the same day,
Saturday, Sept 22nd. Winner must be
present to win. Bring your new,
unwrapped toy valued at $15 or more
to the Toys for Tots booth at the
MIR gate on Sept 22nd.
