Maryland Int’l Raceway has one of
the best weekly Junior Dragster
programs in the country; with some
of the greatest junior racers and
families! With the addition of Ron
Hubble and Hubble Motorsports, the
program is even better. Each weekly
Junior Dragster winner is awarded
$100 cash plus a trophy, the
runner-up is awarded $50 cash plus a
trophy and each semi-finalist will
receive $25 cash! As always, second
round winners are given a trophy
when they bring their timeslip to
Race Control.
With the Dash Championship Playoff
program, the points fund will be
paid based on the drivers placement
in “The Dash Playoff” (see story on
the
Dash
Championship Playoff Purse).
The top 10 in points will all
receive plaques at the MIR Awards
Banquet in February. The track
champion will now receive $500 cash
courtesy of Hubble Motorsports, FREE
car & driver entry for 2013, two
reserved parking spots in the
reserve section plus a championship
trophy and recognition at the MIR
Awards Banquet! The second place
driver will get $200 cash and third
place $100 cash. The fourth and
fifth place will also receive $50
each in cash.
The Saturday, May 18th Junior
Dragster Open (which features $500
cash to the winner) will also have
our normal weekly program; giving
the Juniors their own Double-Header
Day. Also be sure to check out the
Autofab Raider E.T. Challenge Series
(held at MIR, VMP and RD) which is
an eight-race series that awards
$500 cash to win at each race plus a
chance to win a championship and a
major sponsorship for your car!
Don’t forget to mark down in your
calendars the 17th annual IHRA
Junior Dragster Team Finals on
Fri-Sun, July 5-7. This is the
longest running IHRA Junior Dragster
National event in the country, and
it will again be a 3-day event. Last
but not least, the Summit Team
Finals held this year at Piedmont
Dragway on October 4-6th will
include 10 Junior Dragsters
representing Team MIR (the top 9 in
points plus the Junior Dragster Wild
Card winner).
