Joshua Knights wicked 1971 Chevy Nova will make its long awaited return to MIRís Outlaw Drag Radial scene for the 2014 season. An unfortunate accident at the end of 2011 forced the team to re-group to not only fix the Nova but to make it even better before returning to the track. The chassis has undergone several changes including roll cage repairs and updates courtesy of Drummond Race Cars in Laurel, DE. Joshua, team mate Brian Painter and the rest of the Sniper Motorsports crew have been hard at work installing new Carbon Fiber wheel tubs from Feather Carbon and Fastmover Motorsports. While only a small part of the major updates, the new tubs will help make the car lighter and allow for an even lower and meaner stance in preparation to doing battle with the always tough Outlaw Drag Radial field.

Powering the classic muscle car is a 632Ē PAR Racing engines Big Block Chevrolet with 3 Nitrous systems. Weavers Automotive in Madison, VA handles the transmissions, while Converter Design Specialist Greg Slack helps with the torque converter needs. The team has its sights set on breaking into the 4.40 E.T. zone, which would put them in elite company with some of the fastest leaf spring suspension cars on the planet. Sniper Motorsports and the rest of the Outlaw Drag Radial teams will open up the year with a bang as they help headline one of the east coasts biggest door slammer events, Maryland Intíl Raceways 6th annual Door Wars April 11-13 2014.
