Maryland Int’l Raceway has one of the best weekly Junior Dragster programs in the country; with some of the greatest junior racers and families. Ron Hubble of Hubble Motorsports has continued his incredible support for the Junior Dragster program for 2017. Each weekly Junior Dragster winner is awarded $250 cash plus a trophy, the runner-up is awarded $100 cash plus a trophy and each semi-finalist will receive $50 cash. As always, second round winners are given a trophy when they bring their time slip to Race Control.
With the Junior Dragster championship points program, the points fund will be paid based on the drivers final season points placement – with plaques going to the top 10. The track champion will receive $500 cash, FREE car & driver entry for the following season, two reserved parking spots in the reserve section plus a championship trophy. The second place driver will get $200 cash and third place $100 cash. The fourth and fifth place will also receive $50 each in cash. The entire $900 J/D points fund cash payout is sponsored by Hubble Motorsports.
The Junior Dragster Open on Saturday, June, 24th features $1,000 cash to the winner and will also have a separate Index race as well as our normal weekly program; giving the Juniors their own Triple-Header Day.
Also, don’t forget to mark down in your calendars the Young Guns Showdown – Battle of the Juniors on Sun, June 25th. This will be an exciting all Junior event that’s open to everyone – no pre-registration required. Last but not least, the IHRA Summit Team Finals will be held right here at MDIR on Sept 28 – Oct 1 and will include 10 Junior Dragsters representing Team MDIR (the top 9 in points plus the Junior Dragster Wild Card winner).
