On Friday night, July 18th before the Saturday & Sunday 10K-2K Poker Bash event, we will be running special 1/8 mile High-Roller Gamblers races. The High-Roller Races will all be over 87% payback and will feature 16-car fields. If one field fills up, another one will be started. In Top ET, we will have both a $200 to enter $2,800 to win and a $100 to enter $1,400 to win races. In Mod ET, it will be $50 to enter with $700 to win. Junior Dragster will be $35 to enter with $500 to win. All racers must purchase their $20 Test & Tune tech card for the evening. The High-Rollers entry fees will be collected in the tower. Gamblers races start at 9pm and all time runs will be made during the regular Test & Tune rotation. There will be no re-entry and the same car cannot be entered into more than one race. However, one driver may run two cars in separate races. We look forward to seeing everyone come out for a great weekend of racing!

Due to the scheduling conflict between the NHRA Junior Dragster Eastern Conference Finals in Bristol and the July 19-20th points races at MIR, 30 vacation points will be issued to any Junior racer that attends the Bristol event. Racers must email or fax a copy of their Bristol timeslip to Chris Miller at and request the vacation points. If you don't have access to a scanner or fax, you can bring your timeslip to the tower during the next points race which is the Autofab Raider ET Challenge on Aug 9-10th. After Aug 10th, no further vacation points will be issued for the Bristol event.

Event Description

The ever popular 10K-2K Poker Bash will again feature a huge jackpot EACH DAY of $10,000 to win in Top ET, $2,000 to win in Mod ET and $500 to win in Junior Dragster. This race will be run on the 1/8 mile and points will be in effect both days for Top, Mod, Motorcycle and Junior.

In addition to the big bucks you can win on the track, we'll also have a fun $1,000 to win Poker Contest both days that anyone can enter for just $10 a hand (all racers will receive one free hand with their driver ticket). This will be a three round contest where participants are dealt one hand of poker at the contest tent set up in the midway. Anyone that has 2 pair or better in first round advances to round two. Later in second round, all contestants are dealt a new hand with 2 pair or better advancing to the final. Then in the final round a new hand is dealt and the best hand wins $1,000 in cash. But you have to enter to win - so don't miss out. All monies collected will go to and benefit the Racers Fund.

This will be a three round contest and all monies collected will go to the racers fund. The Poker Tent will be set up in the midway near the tower. Junior Dragster racers must have a parent or guardian play their hand for them.
